Bankfield Museum is housed in an imposing Victorian Mansion, set within an attractive park less than a mile from the centre of Halifax. Stepped in history, Bankfield has been a museum for over 100 years. Collections date from the prehistoric to the 21st Century and include an internationally important collection of costume and textile. With so much to discover there is something for visitors of all ages.

Bankfield Museum is one of the sponsors who made the book on Charles Horner possible. Its staff co-operated closely in the oral history research and loaned Charles Horner archival material, including products. The museum has a display of selected Charles Horner artefacts and the museum shop stocks the Book Charles Horner of Halifax from May.
